Ms. Cline!
Plenty of people know that this year our former choir teacher, Ms. Ernst, moved away. However, not many people know the teacher that took up the mantle.
With this article, I plan to remedy that.
Meet Ms. Cline, our new choir teacher.
I interviewed her to get more information on how she’s adjusting here.
I first asked her how she felt taking this job. She felt good about taking it but hesitant. She eventually decided it would be a good challenge and is glad she took the job.
It was difficult for her to come into a new school system. Through her time here she’s “learned a lot about incorporating old ways into new ways”. It’s been a difficult adjustment but ultimately beneficial
Ms. Cline loves her new students (in a teacher appropriate way). She enjoys connecting with them through music and having open and honest communication.
She feels it’s difficult to connect with the other staff as a new teacher. She hopes to incorporate choir more with the rest of the school.
On directing her first concert, she shares that it was scary, but a good challenge. It was a very high intensity event but she felt that we really stepped up. She hopes to keep the same energy for our next concert.
I hope by reading this you now have a better understanding of who our new choir teacher is. As a choir, we certainly love her and are glad she’s here.
