Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Mount Pleasant High School is putting on a fundraiser run for Disabled American Veterans (DAV), with the help of Mr. Epple and our National Honor Society. DAV helps give back to those who have served our great nation by providing many different services including employment and entrepreneurship help, services for transitioning to civilian life, medical transportation, and help for obtaining veteran benefits.
The run will take place on Saturday, October 26 at 10 a.m. It starts in our Community Memorial Stadium, and will go for two miles. Feel free to walk, jog, or run! You can run for free, but we highly encourage making a donation to help those who have served our country. Free donuts will be provided at the end of the run by Cops and Donuts, Walmart, and water bottles provided by Sam’s Club. When the run is finished there will be outdoor games and music.
If you cannot make it to the run, you can still help the Veterans! You can scan the QR code on the posters around the school to donate to DAV. For more information, contact Mr.Epple at [email protected].
Everyone at MPHS hopes to see you there!
