Behind the Scenes of the Oil Spill

From sports to school news, Digital Media’s Oil Spill has it all. You may be asking, what is it??  Telling from their punny name, it means they spill anything you need to know about MPHS. The Oil Spill has a long history at MPHS, starting in the 90’s with an old T.V radio class, but now the Digital Media class conducts the operation and have taken it to new heights. They are known for their fresh graphics and entertaining stories. The students in Digital Media work hard the week before to achieve their goal of a weekly video for the students. They bounce ideas off each other and come up with what they believe the students need to hear. Lead anchor Nicholas Loose writes his own script and provides the reports, but there are many people behind the camera to help create the episode. Each episode takes at least a dozen students to create, with co-managers and different people contributing what they can. The immense teamwork and creativity is what makes the Oil Spill at MPHS run smoothly.
