MPHS Choir

The MPHS choir has seen it’s fair share of struggles, but they’ve managed to come back bigger and better than ever.

“My goals for this year are to build a strong community and to have great performances” Said Ms. Ernst, the MHPS choir director. This year the Mount Pleasant High School choir is increasing in both size and skill. During COVID the choir struggled to stay alive. Music is one of many things that is incredibly difficult to do online. The singers have to be able to hear the people who are with you – or not with you – while singing.

When the choir returned from COVID they saw critically low numbers, adding to their struggles to keep afloat.

This year the choir has finally returned to its former size after the many years of struggling with low membership numbers. “I am very excited for this year,” said Ms. Ernst. The Choir loves to put on shows and to show people what they do best, singing. The next choir concert is on November 2nd, and we hope you’ll come show your support!
