The Mid-Michigan Raptors are the hockey team for Mt. Pleasant and neighboring schools. There are three team captains: Connor Stempky, Tucker Vanalstein, and assistant team captain Joaquin Jackson. They have played 15 games so far this year, their current record being 2-13. The Raptors still have 7 more games left in their season so hopefully they can get a few more wins.
Home games, which are at Martin Ice Area, are on February 7, February 14, and February 16.
Away games are on February 2 at Gaylord, February 3 at Gladwin, February 9 at East Kentwood, and February 17 at Caledonia.
Raptor Jaxon Dern said being on a team with multiple schools feels like playing for “a travel team.” Dern said his hopes for the rest of the season are to “win a couple more games and be positive.”
